On the 7th February,  The Bristol Hoteliers Association Night of the Star Awards, celebrating outstanding team contributions across the hotel industry in Bristol.


We were delighted for both Dylan and Sigita to be representing The Bristol in the Young Chef and Back of House category, whilst they didn’t win the award on the night their contributions to The Bristol in 2018 was outstanding!!


Dylan Jones, Chef De Partie

Joining our team as a Chef-Apprentice 2 years ago, Dylan has worked incredible hard learning the skills, techniques and knowledge to become a Chef-De-Partie, now focussing on developing his leadership skills on the PROUD to Lead programme.

During this time Dylan has grown as a person, going from being a ‘little shy’ to making an inspirational speech at an Apprentice-event, there are many people, management included that find public speaking a daunting task and one to avoid.  Also during the summer of 2018 Dylan took the opportunity to work at The Westbury, in Dublin.  Dylan’s is integral in our kitchen team with 2019 looking to be an exciting year in Dylan’s career.


Sigita, Housekeeping

Sigita has been working at The Bristol since February 2018 and immediately made a positive influence on the department, her courteous nature, her commitment to excellence and her ability to be a team player was rewarded within months by her peers as they voted her Brand Ambassador.  Sigita progressed fast within the hotel due to her quality and working standards became a self-checker.  The icing on the cake was receiving the best ever Housekeeping bedroom score of 96%!!! during an LQA assessment.  As we all know to achieve over 90% LQA score in any department is an outstanding achievement and as a self-checker every detail in the guess room Sigita is responsible for.
